Firstly, let me introduce myself. I’m called Nigel and I have recently joined the Associates team as the Marketing and Operations Manager for the EU Associates program, based in our European offices in Luxembourg.

To improve the Associates program I’d now like to invite you to send me your valuable feedback.

What are your biggest pains? What can we do to make things better for you in general? Do you have any ideas as to new features we could implement?

Please note that this email address should not take the place of the contact us form (found here) for specific inquiries on your account. My goal is to collect feedback from lots of Associates and use it to identify common, shared problems that frustrate our partners. Given the volume that I expect, I will not be able to respond to all inquiries directly. I will post a summary of the responses back to the blog and work to share our progress on fixing them.

I will also be monitoring the Associates discussion forum and I have a close relationship with our customer services team. As with the emails, I won’t be able to reply to all posts to the forum, but I will read them all.

Amazon Customer Vote. 3 rounds, 9 ridiculous deals!

Amazon.co.uk today announced the launch of ‘Amazon Customers Vote’ at www.amazon.co.uk/customersvote on Monday December 10. Thousands of must-have Christmas gifts – including the Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3 and Toshiba HD-EP30 HD-DVD player – will be offered at discounts of up to 75% off throughout the week.

Here’s how it works:

• Starting at Midnight on Monday December 10 and running until midnight on December 15, Amazon Customers Vote features three rounds.
• In each round, there are three highly-desirable Christmas gifts, and customers are asked to cast their vote on which one they’d like to win the round and be discounted by 75%.
• The winner is the product that receives the most votes, and then 250 randomly selected Amazon customers who voted for the winner are offered the opportunity to buy that product – which could be the Nintendo Wii – at the knock-down price of 75% off Amazon’s selling price.
• And that’s not all…if you voted for one of the runners-up, you may be one of the 250 randomly selected Amazon customers offered the opportunity to buy the one you voted for at a discount of 25% off Amazon’s selling price.
