Have you ever wondered how to give visitors to your site more information about the Amazon products you merchandise - without taking up more space? Or how to keep visitors on your site until they're ready to buy? If so, Product Previews, an exciting new feature now available to all Amazon Associates, is the product for you! Our test results show that visitors who see Product Previews have higher click-through and conversion rates -- helping you earn more fees.
What are Product Previews?
Product Previews are a portal into Amazon.co.uk - directly on your Web site. When users hover over a preview-enhanced link, a small window appears containing valuable content and information about the product you're advertising, including an image, new and used price, average customer review and availability. It also gives your visitors the ability to add the item directly to their Amazon.co.uk shopping cart.
To see a Product Preview in action, hover over the links below.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) will be released on July 21, 2007. Pre-order now!
How to add Product Previews to your Web page:
To add Product Previews to your Basic Display text or image links today, go to Associates Central >> Build Links >> Product Links >> Product Previews where you can find the script for activating your Product previews.
If you use Product Previews in an interesting way on your site, let us know by posting a comment on this post. We would love to get your feedback!

Looking at your product preview info page (http://affiliate-blog.amazon.co.uk/2007/05/product_preview.html) and the example links do not appear to work (IE6 & Firefox 2) ie no preview showing up.

The Amazon Associates team:
We´re sorry the example links did not appear to work for some time. We fixed this and hope that you can now see the product previews.

I'd just like to echo the comment from Dave. I like the look of these, but I'm planning to have links to the .com, .co.uk and .ca stores throughout my site. As soon as that's possible, I'd use these rather than the standard product links.

This is a great feature, but unfortunately it doesn't render correctly on the newly released Safari Version 3 on Mac browser.

Hi
These look brilliant. However on my site I show links to Amazon *and* Amazon UK. The Amazon UK preview shows for all the links, even though I've included the code for both Amazon sites.
Can this be fixed? I'd like to show Product Previews for both sites.
Cheers
Dave
p.s the link to Product Previews isn't working for me?

The Amazon Associates Team comments:
Unfortunately, for now you can activate Product previews for one Amazon site only.
PS. The correct link to Procuct previews is:
