Since the beginning of last week our Associates have had access to the following new functions for the Amazon.co.uk aStore
- Create your own “About this aStore/Credits” page.
- aStore banner: This banner widget allows you to map products from your aStore directly to a banner that is linked to your aStore.
About this aStore/Credits:
To add your own “About this aStore/Credits” to your website simply enable the
new “About this aStore/Credits” page option.
This option is located at the bottom of the aStore Generator page where you can
also define the categories shown on your aStore (Step 1 to creating a new aStore).
If you enable this option a
link to your new “About this aStore” page will be displayed in the footer and
page navigation bars of your aStore.
Once the option is enabled
you can enter text in the aStore Generator that will then be displayed on the
“About this aStore/Credits” page.
aStore banner/Banner widget:
The aStore banner (aStore widget) is aimed at Associates who have not
incorporated their aStore into their existing website (Stand-a-Lone aStores,
i.e. aStores that can only be accessed via the URL www.astore.amazon.de/your-assoc-id-21).
With the aStore widget
Associates who have not incorporated their aStore can now promote their aStore
at various locations on their website.
Selected products from
their aStore homepage are displayed in the aStore banner (aStore widget). You
can adapt the appearance of the aStore banner/aStore widget to your website as
normal using Self-Optimising Links. The sizes available are the same as the banner sizes on Self-Optimising Links.
We still recommend
that you incorporate the aStore into your website. Experience has shown that
aStores that are integrated into an existing website achieve the best results.
Examples of well-integrated aStores can be found amongst the winners of the aStore
Competition 2006.

I'm keen to cross-promote my stores, but am unable to do so! And
therefore was wondering whether or not it'll be possible to add more site links to aStores - not just a single link back to my site - in the future?

Hi Amazon
Do you know what'd be really good? If you offered custom domain hosting in the same way that blogger now does.
Associates could simply buy a domain name, configure the DNS records and the astore records and away you go!
